Colombia

BOGOTÁ

Beautiful necklace I bought in the streets of Bogotá.

I had to have the complete Bogotá experience.

Beautiful restaurant on top of the Monserrate Mountain.

Showing some love to "Big Pappa".

Heavenly pork and veal "a la llanera" in Zipaquirá.

Fernando Botero's Museum.

Expansión Sinfónico, Armand Fernández.

Bogotá's botanic garden.

 OH, CARTAGENA!

The gorgeous boutique hotel we stayed at, Don Pedro de Heredia

Finally got my hand on a Patrícia Ramírez two piece swimsuit.

Oh, the streets of Cartagena!

Loving my Colombian Sandals.

This beautiful lady is a living historical and cultural heritage of Cartagena.

For the laidback days in Cartagena.

MEDELLÍN

Silleteros parade.

A major event is the Desfile de Silleteros, a colourful spectacle of chairs embellished with splendid flower arrangements.

In front of El peñol de Guatapé.

On top of El peñol de Guatapé and a breathtaking view.

Colourful doors in Guatapé

I must be honest and admit that my recent trip to Colombia exceeded all my expectations and thoughts I had before. When it comes to friendly people, colourful villages, modern skyscrapers, amazing temperatures and some not-so amazing, delicious food, endless landscapes and exquisite craftsmanship, Colombia is the answer. There was nothing that made me miss my island, do not mis-interpret me, I would never change Puerto Rico for anything, but the reality is that both cultures have many things in common, from the cultural to the culinary. so If by any chance you are doubting a trip to Colombia, don't, you'll thank me later.

Sincerely,
Carla.
