Everyone who knows Héctor Rafael's paintings knows that his work is anything but ordinary. His most recent collection, Biomórfico, does not deviate from that path, instead it continues to amaze. This exhibition not only shows the body in motion, but also explores pleasure in many ways. From heterosexuality to homosexuality, equity is one of the main themes in this story. Some of the paintings include a hidden third person that not only looks at the spectators, but also at the bodies presented inside the paintings. Those eyes that take pleasure of watching, clandestinely, the form of the body, the movement and the enjoyment experienced by these bodies evoke voyeurism. Mixing the human body with nature, Héctor Rafael creates different parts of the body which exhibit the type of pleasure that not only the body is allowed to feel but nature too. When the exhibition is seen as a whole, a harmonic ambience serves as a guide throughout the exhibition, for his art does not stop at each painting individually, but it rather continues along the whole room. From vibrant colors to pastels on triptychs and simples, Biomórfico provokes all kind of emotions and interpretations along the room.

Sincerely,
Carla.
